Laughing Heirs is a humorous legal thriller that begins with a man peering through one of female attorney Robin Starling's front windows and a mad dash across an ice-slicked road. Her boyfriend Paul tells her—

Of the books I read from this author Laughing Heirs has been the least satisfying one, mainly for the fact of the ever ending insignificant monologue by Starling (main character) with her newly acquired dog. The excessive number pages devoted to this subject leaves the impression of page filling short of more interesting components.Product details

I did not enjoy this book as well as the earlier in the series. Still a good read though.

Good book.All the Robin Starling books are very entertaining, and always some twists. Worth the price
Accurate, fast moving, interesting courtroom sparring. From a paralegal viewpoint, the devil is interesting details. Dogs always help.

Found myself laughing out loud in a few places. Has suspense and good development of characters. Will look for other books in this series and by this author. His books are new to me.
Robin Starling gives a first person account of what turns into a murder mystery. She is no Perry Mason, but she is still able to use the evidence gathered by herself and a few interesting friends to reveal the guilty. Oh, and there is a dog who ties this group together. Monhollon successfully combines mild humor with a challenging plot to make this an enjoyable read.
Nice to see Robin again. She is a wonderful detective. The author’s skills send us through twists and turns in the plot that will keep you reading straight to the surprising conclusion.
